U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

FACULTAT DE CIENCIAS DE LA TIERRA Our students receive a solid education in the genesis and evolution of the Earth, based on the study of rocks, its structure, the fossil record, and the oceans and non-marine waters. This knowledge is related to the environment, climate change, geological hazards and natural resources. Two bachelor's degrees, Geology, and Marine Sciences are offered, and several specialized masters are proposed, oriented both to the industry and to the research, with a high professional insertion of our graduated students.

Geology analyses the Earth to understand its functioning and history. The various branches of geology deal with studying the resources of the planet (water, minerals, rocks, fuels) and its natural risks (earthquakes, volcanoes, floods). They also study the sustainable management and exploitation of the environment, climate change, the evolution of the Earth to predict the future, the history of life, and many other issues. Geology also encompasses an exciting field of extraplanetary work.

At the Faculty of Medicine we work under the concept of global health (“One world, one healthâ€). Part of the teaching is taught in English in all courses. We also have a well-established international exchange program that allows us to connect and exchange students and faculty with the best medical schools in the EU and around the world. The most important thing for us, however, are the people. The UB degree in Medicine welcomes and contributes to the training of educated, kind, serious, funny, hardworking, honest, supportive people, able to work in a team.
