U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

The Master’s Programme in Quantitative Economics and Finance (MiQE/F) offers a high-quality graduate education in economic theory, finance and quantitative methods. Apart from a common set of core courses, our students are able to select from a larger menu of elective courses to specialise in economics, finance, or a combination of both. The MiQE/F prepares them for ambitious careers where a solid understanding of the theoretical economic fundamentals, as well as rigorous knowledge of quantitative methods, is required.

Cluster courses, legal electives and independent electives allow MIL students to develop a specialized professional profile of their own. The list below give them some guidance. It suggests 7 areas of specialization and enumerates the MIL courses and courses of other MA programs that may be regarded as relevant. Students wishing to pursue a specific concentration may find the list helpful when choosing their courses. To be sure, the specializations suggested are informal only. Within the General confines of the MIL curriculum, students are entirely free to put the courses together as they fit.

The BIA pursues a generalist approach by integrating various disciplines. Courses in economics, political science and selected areas of law and business administration provide BIA students with the tools they need to assess relevant contemporary issues. The BIA is committed to an international perspective. Course offerings and exchange opportunities enable BIA students to gain important international experience. They can acquire practical experience by pursuing internships, thus earning “practice credits”, or by participating in special electives such as NM UN or Model WTO.

The interdisciplinary MIA integrates the perspectives of economics, political science, business administration and law. This generalist economic and political understanding allows our students to comprehend today’s challenges in their larger social and international contexts. Pursuing a professional school approach the M IA enables its students to participate in projects with experts from international organizations and business, and to earn credit through internships. Students may gain international experience by participating in exchanges or in one of MIA's double degrees.
